everyone hated the cutscenes? i loved there art direction

I'm with you, man. I loved the cutscenes! I loved the delivery of the story in every way, and some cutscenes even got me pumped up bc they were so cool haha. But I think only one person in here gave a negative comment about the cutscenes, don't think everyone said they didn't like them. This was actually the first i ever heard anyone have something negative to say about them, so I think the general concensus on the cutscenes is positive...

I think we're talking about the in engine cut scenes, which were rather lackluster. The comicbook ones were awesome, but the others were nothing special.

And I doubt we will see inFamous 2 this year and even less Batman 2. It's been too little time to get the high quality needed to live up to their previous games.

I would prefer longer time period between games from the same series. Focus on quality rather than farting out one after another.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Give it online, co-op, and more action an' you've got a AAA.

...That's blasphemy. You wouldn't ruin the perfection that is GoW with online and co-op and its already AAA

The game needs something, though. I'm not knocking the game, I'll be the first to say that inFAMOUS is an incredible game, one of my favorite games of all time actually; but once I beat it for the second time, I enjoyed the gameplay and my powers so much that I just wanted to keep using them. I just wanted to go to town on some more baddies...lots and lots of baddies, as many as and whenEVER I wanted. But there wasn't really much to do. There were only a few spawn points for enemies on each island, and these were few and far between. It really left me wanting more, and I wished so bad it had at least SOME other mode where you could use and practice with your powers. Now granted, I probably spent about 40 hrs on the game once I platinumed it and finished through my second playthrough, so this game was still well worth the $60.

I'm not really a multiplayer guy but I would love to see inFAMOUS get online and coop, as long as it 1)is done right and the proper effort and amount of time is spent to make it a solid experience and 2)wouldn't mean that they took any time away from the single player experience. If these 2 guidelines were followed, I don't think multiplayer/coop could mean ruining the game at all. Just look at Uncharted 2- many ppl were mad that it was getting multiplayer for different reasons, including saying it would ruin the game and it wasn't meant to have multiplayer; but not only did the U2 single player tronce that of U1, but the multiplayer was very solid, fun, and addicting, and added MUCH replay value to the game (it's actually the FIRST game to ever get me hooked on it's multiplayer; tried many before and just never had fun, but I'm hooked on U2 multiplayer like there's no tomorrow). Plus, this is a great way imo to create a larger user base. Some ppl buy games solely for the multiplayer portion of the game, and don't ever even touch the single player; those ppl therefore will not even consider a game like inFAMOUS (1). So if anyone wants a game to sell well, multiplayer can only help this I think...

I agree in terms of replay.  I really liked it but stopped once I played the missions and side quests.  I don't MP would suit it too well but I think a combination of offline coop and online coop would be a blast (literally).  I'd be interested to see a game drop having generic DM, etc. and just deliver outstanding coop.  I'm thinking out side the main story, with coop missions and lots of enemies and the city opened up to you.  I'd have a couple of hubs that dole out various missions you then complete, with powerups and additional powers as the lure.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Didn't like the first. I'd rather have a new IP.

Great, i just have finished the Evil side story yetsreday and the game is amazing ( i did finish it once b4 on the good side), the game is glitchy as hell and there are alot of things that can be better, but the game was awesome ...... on the other hand, as much as i want to see Infamous2, i want Sony to bring back some old franchises or to create another masterpiece new IP in JRPG genre.

The quality of the cutscenes would be a good starting place.

In Game cutscenes need to be a lot better.

Thats what i said.

That would be awesome if it came out this year or q1 next year.

Yes, I'm also talking about the animated cutscenes. The comic book ones were fantastic; they really helped the atmosphere of the game and it wouldn't have been the same without them.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

That said, however, some of the regular cutscenes were just awful. The worst one I can think of right offhand is right after you save the crate of medical supplies from the reapers and you're talking to Trish. That one makes me cringe every time.

Comic Book ones were great.  The in game cutscenes sucked a lot.  It made the cutscenes in Tri-Ace games lookm like they come from an inhouse SE game.

I'll add my voice to the sea. There's no way that a studio as small as Sucker Punch pushes out a sequel to an open world game in less than two years. Early 2011 at the soonest.
