I think the article has a point when talking about the caveats of MAG. There's no reason 18 total players in a match can't have the same hectic level of action MAG with it's higher playcount does. I know for a fact Halo 3 does.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't mind testing MAG out.. Too many fond memories of Battlefield 2.

LOL!  MAG = casual?  MAG is more for the HARDEST of hardcore shooter fans.  Which is why its sales are so low compared to other shooters.

Wow Fail lol , halo:odst was a crap for me but for xbox fans were like a great expansion and worth the $60 and is the same as halo 3 but MAG is kind of different no the best ofcourse but great playing it but is crap cuz is not in the Xbox now switch it and put MAG on xbox and odst on ps3 people would be wow mag is new 256 never gonna happend on ps3 M$ did it again great FPS GOTY and theyll call ODST a crap cuz is a expa so lets make this clear MAG is a good game and people who buys it will be happy

What no one realizes is Chrisisnotsexy was joking, Halo and CoD are casual compared to KZ2 and MAG.

You should try breathing when posting on topics that make you angry and perhaps then you'd get your point across using something that better represents the English language.  A little time spent on punctuation wouldn't go amiss either.  I don't usually pull people up on their posts but if you want people to engage you in conversation on here then you need to tone the dial down a notch and take some time to get your point across properly.

On topic, the article has points that will make sense to some gamers but not to the vast majority.  Seems an awfully shallow piece of opinionated writing, obviously the author isn't a serious journalist in my opinion.

MAG is by far the most hardcore FPS game i have played on PS3, it's a hard game to master and really calls for good teamwork.

You don't always need to use a headset, because you can work effectively without one, but it does help.

There's always space for a new game in a console library, they will always find an audience. even Haze found an audience and that wasn't half as good as MAG.

Using the argument that there are already enough games is a lame excuse. Unless they are saying that the 360 doesn't need any new games...?

There's a much simpler reason. MAG isn't particularly good. If you look at it, most PS3 gamers don't want MAG.

Damn, do I see damage control cause of the high player count, one that has yet to be acheived on the 360. It is good to see that most the 360 gamers on here can see through the BS of this article, though. It would be like saying PS3 gamers don't want Mass Effect 1&2 cause we have x & y game.

You do make a very good point, that if this was on 360 instead of PS3 that same site would be praising it and bashing the PS3 for not having it. Though slowmo is right, punctuation is key.

Mag - 332k (not bad for the first week of a new IP that's aimed more towards hardcore FPS fans)
Warhawk - 540k
Socom - 1 mil

I don't think those games can be considered failures, even by the industry's standards. The lowest one of those games will most likely end up being Warhawk (of course this doesn't count online sales of the game), which with just over 1/2 a mil has probably paid for itself and then some. I think this gen in particular we have been blinded by huge multi-million sellers, and therefore think a game has to sell at least 3 or 4 mil for it to be a success. But in reality, games don't even have to break a mil for them to be successful.
