didn't we just have this poll like 2-3 weeks ago?
anyways, AMD, more bang for the buck when going with a cheap processor.
I like AMD as a company more than Intel but Intel makes superior processors.
Intel, I've been using them my whole life, although I'm not sure there is really too big a difference if you have 2 CPUs with the same specs
Intel. Their engineering is just better.

AMD are just cheaper
So yes I prefer AMD

My last two systems have been AMD. In both cases, I would have needed to dump a lot more cash to go with Intel, or degrade preformance (by taking a lower end Intel). AMD seems to be the only company in tech pushing the "middle class". Everyone else is either chasing the high end or a budget product (some companies do both while ignoring the middle).
AMD below $150 or if you would prefer many slower cores to fewer faster ones, Intel otherwise.
I'm hoping AMD will pull round next year and be competitive again, due to Bulldozer, Bobcat and Llano. The first two are new architectures against known targets of Sandy Bridge (which is 15-20% faster than Nehalem per clock) and Atom respectively. The latter one will use existing cores with an HD55xx class GPU on-die.
