Forums - Nintendo - Sakaguchi Discusses a part THE LAST STORY's Battle System!!

I thought this said Sakaguchi "disses" at first, but then I figured why.
The "word" discusses makes much more sense.

And I'm guessing "Mr. M" is Miyamoto? Whatever it is, it should be good. Once he said it was fun, my confidence was boosted a little bit. I know Ninty wouldn't attach their name to a corny RPG. When have they ever?............Super Paper Mario? lol

Is Mr. M Miyamoto? I heard Sakaguchi and Matsuno were working together though...but I'm going to say Miyamoto.

He said his game is real time so it's probably action based but it will also have innovations. Action based RPGs are totally better than turn based ones as long as the action in it is compelling and not slow. If the battles are exciting then that's the best thing they could have done.

Realtime can be turn based as well (ATB).

Just saw the old thread talking about Nintendo's EU trademark for this game, the one that includes the language "and Nintendo device."

Suddenly this talk of a "moment of stillness" got a lot less hippie and lot more intriguing for me.

hmmmmm interesting

I wonder what he meant by a "moment of stillness"

I know its hard to speculate but it sounds like a Action RPG type game though, not a turn based game :(

Meh hopefully not.

The only reason to potentially dislike that is that Wii should already be getting a good does of Action-y RPG, in the form of Xenoblade, and the ensuing lack of variety. Action RPGs are generally more fun, but we're already getting that.

nah I rather play turnbased RPGs than Action RPGs.
