Wouldn't care. Wouldn't purchase it either. I'm sure a very large chuck of Wii's installed base wouldn't either for those specs. It'd have to provide a new experience not just an enhancement of the existing experience to get many to upgrade.

I've enough Wii games now to last me a few years.

i think may folks will be super upset especially the parents because to parents nintendo is like a safe heaven for young children and with 360/ps3 like abilities their kids will soon grow up wanting to shoot things online or and start playing violent games at their young age but thats just my opinion, i'm sure some parents could careless about what their kids do in the video games. but some do care.

I'd be mildly upset, mainly because they haven't unlocked the other two Gamecubes yet.

What would the size and power consumption be on this Super Wii? Both of which where crucial in the Wii's design.

Arguing about getting maximum value out of the graphics is redundant, 3rd parties don't give a shit. Wouldn't you actually prefer something they do care about?

Well some people are upset for different reasons. If a Wii HD came out with a redesign, and more features, now that I think about it its not a bad idea. Sort of like how the DSi was an upgrade compared to the original DS system. The Wii HD could be marketed toward more mature gaming audiences and Nintendo could partner with 3rd parties to get games like Assassins Creed, COD, etc ported to Wii HD. They could also include Harddrives for download content, faster proccesors for better online gaming and many people would be perfectly fine with that. And that way the HD wouldnt have to compete with Wii so people who dont want hardcore gaming and is just looking for a casual experiece, could always opt out and choose the cheaper Wii and be happy. Its a win/win situation for Nintendo and it will help to win them back some 3rd party support.

I was always thinking upgrade, which is why i argued that if every console has done it this gen. why the hell not Wii?
