Forums - General Discussion - IGN: Best Movies OVERALL! (And the winner is....)

Terrible List.

As much as I like Lord of the Rings, Batman, Bond, Frank Miller et al.

This list is just terribly safe and terribly commercial. Its like, lets get the top box office contendenders and make a list.

Wheres the Slumdogs, Mementos, There will be bloods, Old Boys, Ghibi Amnimations and Amelies of the world?

Not to mention I would have limited the amount of films from one franchise that can be in the list to one, just so more vareity can be injected into it.

I guess movie under 200 million dollars can be the best.

It's clear IGN have no idea what good movies are , lol @ Spiderman

Personally I couldn't stand the Spiderman movies but the superhero that really annoys me is Superman. Because he's too powerful and too perfect and pretty much the most boring comic book superhero ever.

That is the worst top ten of anything I have ever seen.

Ugh, I hate the list.

I loved number one, though.

There is a surprising lack of Pixar on this last

Mhm... mhm...

Well, IGN is definitely a group of folks that goes by their own rules (manly rules!), so this sort of top 10 list was to be expected.

Still, nice to see Fellowship up there. Great movie (well, at least it's my favorite). Nice to see Avatar up there too, although I suppose they liked for different reasons than I did. As for the Dark Knight, I really can't complain. It was pretty much the "perfect blockbuster", and I definitely enjoyed the heck out of it. So I'll say "well deserved" even though many will "poo poo" the decision.

Just... just go back to hyping RE5: Gold Edition. Away with you!
