I agree. The graphics of Heavy Rain were always overrated, and the look of the characters is nowhere near the uncanny valley.

I love P&C too and believe the game will be good anyway.

I think it's more realistic to have an opinion on a game you have actually played. I'll take Naz up on his opinion, he's actually played it. Others who have played it have also happily disagreed.

You do know that hey have several beautiful 720p movies of Heavy Rain gameplay at Gamersyde right?

That may be so but you're someone who doesn't agree with fans of other consoles giving opinions on games they don't own the system for or have played. This is one of those instances, except it is you who is judging something you won't be playing in the next few weeks. I'm just saying a video is not the game, even if it's a representation of it. Naz didn't give his feelings based on videos/screenshots/footage. He gave it based on playtime.

Your opinion is fine though, afterall it is just that. Just don't be hypocritical about it.

There's a huge difference between an opinion on just the graphics compared to overall quality of a game.

But you're still judging something you haven't played/won't be playing. Would it be ok for PS-only fans to judge Mass Effect 2? If they won't be buying the game/playing through the game, how can their opinions be anything but inflammatory?

I didn't say you weren't entitled to an opinion, though you can't judge it realistically. But you still would be on the case of others if the shoe was on the other foot, you've proven that.

It's not a big deal however, just an observation. I don't personally mind either way, I know what I'm expecting on the 23rd and many others have said quite the opposite of the visuals.

I agree with CGI and furthermore you can 't understand who good or bad the graphics if you haven 't moved with your controller on the game to see how controller respond or see from first hand how well the graphics are and not from a video

Pretty much. I keep hearing 'you have to see it in motion for yourself' from people. There have been mixed feelings, some have said it's > Uncharted 2, others feel not so much. Most of the reviews have said it's the best they've seen on the PS3. So, it's a mixed bag overall, but people (for the most part) have enjoyed the way it plays.

yes i also think it 's too early to know since most of the big reviewers haven 't played it(IGN,gamespot) and doesn 't have a lot of reviews but at the moment it has a 95 metacritic Play Station Magazine greece gave it a 9 and they said that it is the most mature and beatiful(story construct) game they have ever played and said that they also wait opinions on this game to be controversial

I really liked the demo, and I thought the graphics were very very good, not KZ2 good... but still great.

My only real problem was the controls in some parts. **Minor Spoiler** For example when you're climbing the hill at the crime scene and you have to hold 5 buttons at once. I swear I had to use my tongue to hold down triangle.

How unnecessary. You only need to press 2 buttons at once. You can release the previous buttons after they vanished from the screen.

I still agree with the controls part. They're very clunky.

why does everyone keep saying you need an EU PSN ID? I didn't need one for the demo, perhaps there is some step that I did differently than others, *shrug*

I didn't work on my German PSN account, but worked on my UK PSN account.

PSN Germany simply refused to accept my code. I had the feeling the reason was because I actually registered my UK ID on the Playstation 3 Website.

Its just not working with a German PSN account. Atleast yesterday. I tried it with 3-4 codes. Then I took my US account didnt work either then my Uk account worked perfectly.

I googled the problem and more people with German accounts werent able to download it. Maybe they just dont offer it because its a 16+ game and Kids could download it too or something like this.

I remember a similar deal with Killzone 2. Some played the demo and said they were underwhelmed with it's visuals. The full game was another matter, and the reviews agreed. Perhaps the demo is an earlier build, perhaps not. I'll have my full impressions in a few weeks.

I don't recall many people having an issue with the KZ2 demo graphics, it was the controls that a huge number touch issue with.  I cannot comment on the graphics of the HR demo as I refuse to play it, will be saving myself from hype and expectation to buy it and experience it without prejudice.

Ya never know

I know, Naz plans to review.  Mystery solved :P

...

I would have to disagree there, Naz. I thought the graphics were pretty damned near perfect, even better than Uncharted 2. Especially in "Sleazy Place"- "Crime Scene" had an interesting art scheme, the quality of which was debatable. But in the hotel, the environments were pretty much perfectly designed, and the character models looked great (even Lauren Winter who looked like a vampire in the early stages of development).

The demo was great. The graphics range from very good to ok. But what is most important to this game is the setting and the tone, which QD delivered on.

You've got to realize, outside of KZ2, a developers first attempt at creating a game for the PS3 is a massive learning curve; it isn't until they release a second title that their ideas and ambitions sart to become fully realized.

This game will be really good, but the one after this will be great.

Fuck... I'm dead!

I dont understand the problems. The graphic is one of the best for consoles.

It didnt blew my mind graphically but the atmosphere sure did.

Wait for some daylight scenes. Infact I liked the grass waving in the wind the puddles the effect of the rain on the windshield.
