Seriously.

Mass Effect 1 & 2 shouldn't be considered EA games. They're Bioware games. The Bioware name holds a way more weight than EA's name ever will.

Jason owned Patcher... he really show how someone that reallly is in the industry know ways more than a so called expert.

I like it how he didn't include the most obvious example, Dead Space Extraction, a game people REALLY didn't want as soon as they heard it was on rails (and said it very loudly). Probably because if he included that he would be detracting from what he considers one of the strongest cornerstones of the "3rd party core games don't sell on the Wii" argument. After all it has always a strong effect to say "look at dead space extraction - very good reviews yet only 9000 copies sold". So god forbid one should waste this in an "EA makes games people don't want" argument.

Thats not quite true in my case atleast. I dont like the most EA titles but some are one of my favorite games.


After playing the Battlefield Bad Comoany 2 demo I have to say that this is my new favorit FPS. After that comes KZ2. I also love Battlefield 1943.

Then Dead Space is one of the best games this gen. And esoecially mass Effect 1-2 belongs in that category. Also Dragon Age Origins imo.

last gen I dont remember buying a EA game EA was for me non existant last gen. This gen I will buy and have bought more EA games then in my whole life before.

Its ofcourse because of Visceral Games Bioware and Dice.

Infact I dont have one Activison game. Blizzard ofcourse but I refuse to connect both names together.

Edit: If I think thoroughly about it I dont bought a Activison game in my whole life.

In your case it isn't true, but he is obviously talking about this from a sales point of view - the masses are not buying these games so these games are games the masses don't want.

EA has this amazing ability to buy good gaming studios and then kill them, they go out of their way to kill franchises with very loyal and large fan bases

Yes Thats why I said for me. But also he is exegarrating a little. Becuase it is not standard that a game sells more then 5 Million. And EA sells games in the 1-4 Mln range thats still a good result. Just wait for BBC2 sales and Masseffect is an EA gamealso Fifa 10.

EA is still one of the top selling companys just because it is not on the same level as activision and Nintendo it doesnt mean that they sell games which the masses dont want. What has Activision except Call of Duty ?

Ok I list some EA multimillion sellers:

DAO (Bioware is now EA so its EA thats fact)

Mass Effect 1-2

Dead Space

Battlefield Bad Company 1-2

Fifa series (tens of Million units)

Rockband

And then what shows he just talks trash is that EA has one of the best selling games of all time which literally RAPES Call of Duty in sales. Thats the Sims with 100 Million+ Untis sold (2008) 

he just a guy who runs after the newest trend thats Nintendo and Call of duty. And everything else is trash. I can list you further games. EA is still in the TOP 3 of all game developers. He just dont know what he is talking about. I totally disagree with him.

Yes EA struggled a litte latley- But they will catch up sooner or later. They made an excellent purchase with Bioware. But still they have EA Sports and Sims and some Multi million seller EA makes still games for the masses and infact they make stillgames for the people which dont lay stuff except Sims and Sportsgames. I know people which play just Sportsgames and nothing else. EA makes definetlygames for the massesthis article exegarrated. And the more I think about it the more I think he is wrong. EA is one of the few Develoers which mnake games for the masses. Infact its THE company for the masses even more then Activsion. I think after Nintendo they are on the second place when it comes to making games for the masses. 

Infact I dont like EA because they havent managed to improve the franchises they bought. EA makes a not so good job, but he exegerates a lot he talks like EA is dead which is definetly not true.
