Forums - Sales - Sony messed up releasing GOW/Heavy Rain so close to FF13

Not sure if this is a sales thread but I think so. Anyway, title says it all. While Mass Effect 2 had a nice amount of time without a lot of competition to garner hype, I think Heavy Rain and GOW3 are going to be a bit overwhelmed hypewise by the FF13 juggernaut landing in the middle of them. Especially GoW3. Sony sales would have been better served by placing GoW3 in April or so. Thoughts?

No, I think the games attract different enough people, so that they won't have a noticable impact on eachother's sales.

Why the hell are you talking past tense with so much certainty? If you really travelled a few months into the future, couldn't you have done something more productive than checking Vgchartz to see if these games failed?

Tease.

Well, I realize I don't represent anyone except myself but I want all three of those games and I will have them!

No they didn't; all three games appeal to different types of people. For instance, out of the three GOW III interests me the most and is the only one I would potentially buy.

^^ LOL

lol back to the future.

anyways, Heavy rain and GoW aren't even RPG's... so wtf?

And to be honest, im getting quite irritated from everyones saying these kinds of things, its as if once FFXIII comes around ALL SALES R BELONG TO FFXIII, its not the only game releasing then and there, ffs.

i dont think so,

certainly i am getting both. god fo war 3 and ff13
what i am delaying though its WKC then so4i

I agree with the original poster as I want all three games, but will definantly opt for ff13 first. And it would be very tempting to buy the other two used later by the time I can afford them. And no I don't think these games attract different kinds of people, ALWAYS at least.
