Hmmm, I don't think GameFaqs is a reliable source for release dates. It's all user compiled and nowhere did Nintendo ever confirm or announced the existence of Kirby Wii. It just happens that it has been appearing since the GC era in the FY listings. Plus I'm getting my release dates from dengekionline.com, they are sales trackers as well as a reputable gaming magazine in Japan, and they haven't even got Kirby Wii in the TBA March games. Maybe after April things get better for the Wii, but if this is all it has coming up until then, I can see it going down to the same levels where it got last year. Once again thanks to a huge game drought that shouldn't have happened.

Like it matters. Looking at 2009 bringing one big Mario game per year will keep Wii moving for months.

If sales were dependant on wealthy diverse library of games we would be wondering when will Wii pass Xbox 1 at the moment.

PS3 will no doubt have some weeks of outselling Wii in Japan, but I think they will be scarce. PS3 has more games coming out, but I think Wii has a little more in terms of games that will actually sell in Japan. I notice a lot of "westernized" games releasing for the PS3 that I doubt will make it far in Japan. Although MW2 managed to sell like 250k on PS3 so who knows..

But Wii has the slight edge I think, as it has more "evergreen" titles, despite having less game releases for the few months. Plus, Wii is one Vitality Sensor hit away from completely dominating the PS3 again there anyway.

PS3 will outsell Wii 2:1 the week Lair (cheaper edition) launches.

Seriously, this year looks terrible for Japanese gamers.

The problem is that I have no idea how games like Nier/dynasty Warriors online/Fist of the North Star will do.

I think Wii sales will sky rocket with the release of Dragon Quest X and Kirby Wii. PS3 is ound to outsell wii at least a few times this year though.
