8 weeks already. Even though by a tiny margin I am impressed. The PS3 is pretty stable in Japan since Pricecut. Wonder what impact move and 3d might have in Japan.

SMG2 won't be big in Japan, but should push some hardware there to. How will it last? 2-3 weeks, then if Wii has nothing (and Xenoblade fails) PS3 will be on top, and that happens because third parties aren't doing their job.

It jumped after Torne and the 500k twins (RGG4 & Hokuto).  PS3 had "stabilized" a good 5-10k below Wii weekly before that, now it's about 2-5k ahead weekly.

 

I agree with whoever said it'll last until Mario Galaxy 2.  Dunno how it goes past that though, both Wii and PS3 have frankly awful lineups for the summer.

Wii was able to cut off PS3's winning streak with a victory of 7k over its rival.

Denegeki had Wii slightly ahead the week before too actually.  Famitsu and MC gave PS3 the slight lead though.

Looks like the first decent summer for the PS3 with WKC2 (it will sell way less than WKC1 though), Sengoku BASARA 3 and Another Century's Episode: R should keep the interest in the PS3.

The Wii has ofcourse Sengoku BASARA 3 too and the biggest console game for this summer.
