MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
Thanks to NSMB Wii, Wii should be able to edge out over the PS3 in Japan for months to come, give or take a few weeks here or there when the PS3 has big releases and Wii doesn't. Without this game, PS3 may officially have taken Japan by now.

Yakuza 4's basically the most promoted 3rd party console game this gen besides FFXIII and MH3 so far. More than MGS4 even. I think it's going to lift hardware sales more significantly than some are expecting, the advertising is literally *everywhere*.

Heh. Isn't it surreal that the console with twice the userbase of it's nearest competitor and more than twice the software sales (yes, higher attach rate even) is the one that goes so long without releases in the region.

Yes, especially when PS move comes out, and some other exclusives, There are big things happening from here on out for Sony and there fans, I am glad to be there for the ride.

The only reason Wii has such an attach rate is because of Nintendo's games. And I don't think it will be any different this year.
