Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Tatsunoko VS. Capcom sales watch.

Do we have a thread for this yet?

Wow, in just one week it doubled the sales so far of the first version. Yeah, All-Stars even got released in Japan, which has had the first version for a while.

This is a good sign. Remember that the Capcom vs games are not big sellers on the consoles. Street Fighter is the big sales draw there. But hopefully this will finally convince Capcom there is an audience for IV on the Wii, when the lesser series is selling well. Of course we'll have to see how the legs hold up to see if that is the case.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I have, and it's sold out in some. But seeing the hard numbers is just a nice confirmation of the anecdotes.

Its sold out in my city.

That said, each electronic retailer in the city apparently got 2-3 copies of the game.

I just bought mine, If capcom keeps the advertising we could see a nice hold on its sales for some weeks... 750000 LT sales...

If Capcom keeps this game advertising, i think we could see 800,000 to 1,000,000 lifetime sales, so this could have some strong legs

Japan sales are disappointing imo. Capcom totally handled the game wrong there though, it really should be budget priced like they're doing for SSF4. A CCPro bundle would've helped too imo.

American sales are awesome though. Capcom's done almost everything right here, with a great viral campaign, a strong press push and even targeted TV ads. This is how you sell a "niche" Wii game, congrats!

This could reach some 700k easily.
