"the wii was at 9 million in NA when NMH was released. the wii now is at 31.5 million

so the sequel only went up by around 5 thousand units?"

Name one game where the sequel sold the equivalent of the userbase increase.

we need to name a game franchise, that started on a console with good scores, and its sequel, with even better review, had a good increase.

Well, I will do better than one, I will name 1 per console.

Mass Effect

Uncharted

You don't get to make up a new question when it's not even the context of what I was replying to.

And Uncharted 2 is not selling in accordance with the underbase increase, and Mass Effect 2 just launched.

and yet, new potential customers do imply some increases in sales. I fail to see why this formula somehow does not apply to a great game like NMH2.

hence why I listed 2 other great games for the sake of comparison. Both received favourable review scored their first go... and the second time, recieved even better score, Sounds familiar??

"imply" does not mean "will", especially when the marketing for the sequel is as small as the first game.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I just spent 20 minutes trying (and failing) to crack New Destroyman in Death Match mode

This game can rot in a landfill (partially sarcasm. Kinda angry)

Legs could come into play here, but i think this game has been drowned in terms of hype due to all the simultaneous releases. It won't accrue as much cult appeal right out of the gate.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
