Forums - Nintendo Discussion - No More Heroes 2 sales watch.

Well, Ubisoft did a terrible job of advertising and, most importantly for Wii games, selling the game to retailers. Ive been to about 5 different stores that stock Wii games, and only in 1 Gamestop did i find a copy (a lone copy on a bottom shelf, somthing a casual gamer would have missed). Ubisoft did a poor job with the original also, but at least that game had more non-television ads.

Also, Marvolous has little to do with NA sales of either game (NMH1 or 2), which is where the original sold best. Its easy to say that the game tanked if you count the JPN numbers only.

They'd better give us a release date for us Euronians already!

Oh please. Only 6,000 of you would show up the first week anyways lol 74,000 of your kind would eventually show up over the next few years, but that is about it.....haha

Euronians don't put Wii games past 125k anymore, unless they have Just Dance appeal.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Rising Star Games was supposed to have an announcement this week, but according to their site it has been postponed until next Thursday :(

Oh, really? I was wondering why I never heard anything, figured I'd have missed it, or that it wasn't anything big 'cos I hadn't seen anything mentioned anywhere... Thanks for the heads-up. They'd better spill some beans next thursday!

And @ SaviorX: Shut up, you... American! At least we buy DS's here!

I don't really blame Ubisoft for being reserved on marketing, end of the day they're not going to see much of the cut once Grasshopper have had their share. Marketing costs money and to get the title 'out there' like most people on here want just isn't financially viable for what is a nishe game with limited appeal.

It's doing good, like for what it is you can't expect incredible numbers. It's not going to inspire any third parties or break any records, this sort of game couldn't exsist in normal circumstances and it's incredible that it got a sequel.

Might have something to do with waiting months to get games and then only getting them when the hype has already died.

Punchout, The Conduit, Metroid Prime: Trilogy, Dead Space Extraction, and Tatsunoko vs Capcom: UAS would like a word.

Muramasa's not even encouraged to be sold for Pete's sake. lol

Speaking of Muramasa.  Was released here in Australia on Dec 3, I tried to buy it 6 weeks later and according to the retailers that had previously had it in stock, it was no longer being distributed.  6 WEEKS!?

I could only find one online retailer in Australia that still had it in stock.....such a shame, seems like a really nice game.

Probably it only can reach 700k in lifetime sales, because not many people know this game in Europe and other countries

Name one game where the sequel sold the equivalent of the userbase increase.

we need to name a game franchise, that started on a console with good scores, and its sequel, with even better review, had a good increase.

Well, I will do better than one, I will name 1 per console.

You don't get to make up a new question when it's not even the context of what I was replying to.

And Uncharted 2 is not selling in accordance with the underbase increase, and Mass Effect 2 just launched.
