This is true, seems like many expect the good old "good games will sell well" to hold true. I'm amazed that so many would believe that.
I think the big challenge for NMH2 is the fact that unlike when it's predecesor arrived, the Wii shelves in stores are crammed full of games, including a lot more action games than NMH's had to deal with and those fabled long legs of RE4 are rarely seen anymore, at least not for this type of game. They tend to quickly drop down into the 5k/w range and quickly get pushed off store shelves by newer games.
Launched month and day against TvsC (which is advertised) sure doesn't help either, nor will Red Steel 2 and MH3 (they'll chop any legs out from under NMH2). From Suda's perspective this will still be a hit even if it doesn't sell as much as the original but I'm not expecting any great numbers from this. I would have expected at least 50k for first week considering sequels are more front loaded. Still a great game, enjoy it.
They'd better give us a release date for us Euronians already!

With one week of sales in one region, NMH2 is currently outperforming its predecessor. Until new information arrives that suggests it isn't doing as well as its predecessor, I'm going to call it a success. |
That's very reasonable.
what's wrong with you? I DEMAND knee jerk reactions that need to be cemeted for eternity no matter how proven wrong you may later be.

Rising Star Games was supposed to have an announcement this week, but according to their site it has been postponed until next Thursday :(

Here my friends, reflects the sentiments of thousands of gamers across the internet this week, who just found out this game came out already. Also, we have the non-forum dweller, who is an avid gamer, but has never heard of a No More Heroes 1, let alone a sequel for it.
My brothers are "hardcore" gamers, but they don't go on gaming websites, EVER. My friends play Call of Duty, Gears, and Halo all the time....but they haven't heard of anything else. Commercials catch their attention though, as well as other forms of advertsing. Ubisoft gave the title nothing. Period.
As for me, I expected NMH2 to do these numbers; check the Predictions League for proof.
