Within the ‘Special’ section of the Japanese Final Fantasy XIII site, Square Enix have revealed a new treat for fans across the world.

Set for release on a 12-inch Vinyl disc is an LP that hosts a selection of tracks composed for the games soundtrack by Masashi Hamauzu. Due out on February 26th, this is sure to be a hit with die-hard fans with four tracks available on each side including Fang’s Theme and Pulse de Chocobo.

For those interseted, it is currently available to pre-order from the Japanese Square Enix Store priced at ¥2,800.

Vinyl is a joke. The only benefit to vinyl was being able to play back an (often superior) analog recording via analog.  Today everything is recorded digitally, so all you're getting is a digital recording released on a medium prone to decay.
