I wasnt planning on buying it. HVS has yet to make a game that is decent.
They will get creamed on the HD consoles. Their game will be slightly mediocre at best compared to L4dead.

You act like that isn't the motive for all gaming companies. I bet this has more to do with Sega requesting this than their greed -- I don't see them making such strange decisions otherwise.
@innervate
i just mean the root of it all
but yeh why does anyone care? the conduit didnt exactly set the world on fire, and the grinder is pretty derivative sounding
if you got wii, get mwr, you wont even remember this issue exists
It will be curious to see how this game turns out in the end. The Wii version is the primary version, will have a longer development cycle than the other two and will have IR controls.
On the other hand the developers, or more likely the publishers, didn't seem to have faith that this game would sell on the Wii so have decided to HD-ify it. Given this one must question how much time and resources will be spent working on the Wii version between now and release and whether the the extra development time will actually account for anything.
Ultimately, if it turns out to be a good Wii game, there is a chance I'll buy it. If it's the best version of the game but still crap, then I won't be buying it.
It all depends on how the Sony and Microsoft motion control solutions work. If Sony add an analog stick to the Arc or add a wireless nunchuck clone to go along with their remote clone then the Arc will be successful. If they don't change t5hings, it'll fail miserably. We've all seen from last years E3 that using a DS3 with the Arc looks cumbersome. And the same goes for Microsoft - they need to add a controller of some sort, again, with an analog stick.
The 360, PS3 and PC SKUs will be using the Infernal engine, most likely with the 360 as the lead platform. The Wii SKU will be 8 or 9 months away from being completed by now, meaning that it'll have an extra years worth of polish and unlike the Infernal engine, which is designed to be cross platform, is built solely for the Wii, designed from the ground up for it. This, combined with the Wii having suitable controls from the get go would have me thinking that whilst it won't be as pretty, it'll be the better SKU in terms of gameplay.
"Now the Wii owners won't buy it because they feel betrayed"
Bull. Wanting an exclusive is a fanboy thing (not calling anyone that, just pointing out what that attitude it). Many of us just want some kickass FPS with good control, that we don't need a table/desk to use a keyboard and mouse to play. This will not change that, especially since it also has local multiplayer now.

I personally don't mind it being multiplat, but the majority of Wii owners would have wanted it to be exclusive because they're tired of the other systems getting all the good games and leaving the Wii out.

But in this case, the Wii isn't left out, and in all likelyhood will be the source system. So them complaining about a game they are still getting makes them look like whiners.
