weird since FF13 it's a better game imo.

Again, don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to downplay the game, it's one of my most anticipated games of 2010. But for it to win overall GOTY over a WRPG (the highest rated one of the generation), which Western reviewers usually prefer, is going to be very difficult. But should it manage to do so, I'll be quite impressed.

Well, I won't be too suprised if FF13 actually got something less than 80 in meta...
JRPG has peaked, Shooter is the future (and NATAL)

I wouldn't say shooters are the future, since other genres are also getting high reviews. It's just JRPGs need a new direction, since they're becoming repetitive. Maybe, just maybe, Final Fantasy Versus XIII will bring something very new. One thing I think that could've hurt FFXIII's review scores is the linearity. Another that could hurt is the story, since I haven't heard great things about the story of FFXIII.

As for your comparison of FF12 to FF13 and SO3 to SO4...you, um, do know that they're both done by different developers, right?

From a game play point of view, UC2 was better to me, better cover and movements, from a story point of view, it's sci-fi vs classic adventure, totally different and personal preference, I personally think they are equally good at the story part. Greg Miller, is a choice whore as well, he loves making choices in games, UC2 doesn't allow that, once again, personal preference, doesn't effect the game for me. From a technical aspect, props to Bioware for making the game look very decent on the 360, which made the PC version look shittier than it has to be, and not anywhere near UC2 level. Which one is better? hard to say, both pretty damn good though.

On a side note, already knew FF13 would score lower, too much shit dumped down, buying it anyways, have to see how bad it is for a FF game myself before I pass real judgement.

In my Opinion, FF12 series is boring and I'm not even going to bother with 13, so i'm going to ignore FF games completely and still with the shooters with RPG elements because thats whats fun and not boring and repetitive. :D

the first ME was great so imagine how good is the second.
