You never know the meaning of FF 13's logo until the end...i love the ending too.

Unless you're spoiled...like me... xD I love the meaning and how it came to be, even though it is a bit sad.

My friend turned me on to Destructoid. It seems like a pretty stark contrast to the current state of IGN. Much better stuff, not much inflammatory articles for hits.

ON TOPIC: Hype meter is now higher than when I walked into this thread lol. I haven't played many FF's though, hope I get some of the throwbacks...

haha...it's the biggest spoiler...although I was spoiled(it's lucky not the whole ending) before i finished the game,it's still amazing when isaw the ending CG,the feeling...a bit sad, somehow relax,it's worth pondering.

"2. No Healing Between Battles"

This actually makes me sad and makes the game much more easy.

All the rest is good (in my opinion).

I agree, they should have kept the old system. This, and the fact that you can restart battles even if you lose, is one of my major gripes with the game.

Granted, this could be good for newcomers to the series, especially since this has been considered to be one of the hardest FF's so far, especially when it comes to bosses.

Well these are all subjective opinions of course. I really hate all of the cutscenes and I wish there weren't so many of them. This isn't the PS1, when you needed to show the differences between stuff that you could put on a cd compared to a snes cartridge. It's so annoying...

His opinion about the music is also just an opinion. I was really disappointed by it. The music in the game is average at best. The older FF games just blow it out of the water.

The no healing between battles really makes the game much easier. You basically have no consequences for using magic, losing hp, etc. during battles. Even if you die you can just restart the battle again. It's much more challenging having to try and conserve your magic or keep your health up in between battles, and it takes more strategy as well. Do I use my mp now on a big spell or use less powerful spells so I can have more mp in reserve? In 13, it just doesn't matter and you do whatever the hell you want...

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

It sounds interesting, but... I severely doubt I'll agree about the music being the best in the series. It's pretty great, from what I've heard, but ... Better than FF6? Better than FF8? I'll believe it when I see it.

I guess it's a common thing now that every positive FFXIII thread gets a bunch of damage-controllers? I dont visit this forum much anymore so I dont know.

Anyway he says it's one of his favourite FF games ever alongside VI, that means a lot.

The soundtrack is the best I've ever heard in a video game. Stunning.
