According to this badly translated article, Aonuma dished some dirt in a UK Nintendo magazine and teased a little more about the future of Zelda. He's "very interested" in a 3D remake of A Link to the Past. On the subject of Zelda Wii, still more teasing, saying that the game could have "a graphic style that nobody could have imagined." So people expecting TP2 (or WW/PH style) may be surprised.

Does anyone in the UK have this magazine? Did he say anything else worthwhile?

i hope they dont screw up the graphics for zelda like they did with WW

Interesting idea... I wonder if it would still be "top-view" (in full 3D), or 3rd person (aka Twilight).

I would love a Wiimake of OoT - Master Quest variety (maybe with some changes). Hell, I'd LOVE that :)

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess both had beautiful art styles. It's actually possible to enjoy both. I look forward to a new art direction for the series. But I'd prefer a remake of Link's Awakening to Link to the Past!

Roffle. There was nothing "screwed up" about Wind Waker's graphics. In fact, it looked more like a Zelda game than OoT did at times. For example, that wooded area atop Outset Island where you first meet Tetra, looks like a 3D and highly stylized version of LttP's Lost Woods. Now all they needed to do was plant some fake Master Swords around and have a couple of theives hiding around corners and that would have been a nostalgic overload.

Some of the LttP ideas have been worked out in the most recent Zelda game if you ask me. Twilight = Dark world. If they make a remake they better put it on the Wiiware channel instead and release a real successor shortly after or include it as a bonus disc!

I'd be very interested in a 3D LttP remake as long as they don't dilute the pure awesomeness. Just shove you in the game and let you start killing rats and snakes straight away. I'd love to see a modern take on some of LttP's dungeons.
