Take your pick: Ueda, Cage, Kojima. Artistic Geniuses!

Fumito Ueda 64 62.14%

David Cage 5 4.85%

Hideo Kojima 34 33.01%

Total:103

Having sampled all of their work, i would consider Ueuda the best of the three. but the problem with these types of threads (no offense) is that they only recognise one person, not the team, the unit behind the production. who probabily worked equally as hard to accomplish those visions.

can i choose peter moleunx, or lost odeysey guys

Fumito Ueda

the vote was hard but i did it. theres just so much passion in his games, and the world is so open.

well Cage has that arty "pretentious douche" stereotype down pat but other than that I'm not sure

Ueda makes some of the most highly regarded games of all time and and his games always come up when people are talking games as art. And from what I have read of him he really thinks like an artiest when making games.

Kojima does ere on the pretentious side and his works are pretty epic and unique, he is also by far the most prolific of the three. Tho I would note your list of games dose him an injustice by only listing MGS games he is much more than that you should have listed the MGS solid series and ZotE and one of his adventure games or Boktai series, so that people don't make the mistake of just thinking of him as "the MGS guy" as that dose him an injustice as an artiest.

so in closing I picked Ueda

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Couldn't you have listed some Kojima games that aren't Metal Gear too, like Snatcher? Just to represent his portfolio better.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Out of those 3 I'd say Kojima because hes made the most enjoyable games to me. However Kojima has stolen from many things like Macgyver and escape from New york so calling him an artistic genius is a hugh overstatement. I personally would have had Shinji Makami on that list and thats who I would have picked. Im not familiar with Uedos games so I can't comment on him.

for me Kojima...but Fumito is in the same league...respect for both guys...David is cool but i only played Heavy Rain so i cant rate him so much...but i love Heavy Rain

Kojima has good ideas but for every two good ideas, he has a bad one as well. Ueda has good ideas only, and his games haven't disappointed so far. That said, I've only played Ico but I can already see I'm going to love SotC and TLG when I get to play them.

After MGS2, the Metal Gear series has gone downhill. MGS3 was a masterpiece but I never felt like it was a very good MGS. It felt too distant. MGS4 was good yet it ruined everything.

As for Cage, I've only played the demo of Heavy Rain and while I liked it, it's most definitely not a masterpiece.
