Forums - Nintendo - Is it a good thing that Nintendo supports 6 platforms?

Nintendo currently has 6 running ways to distribute games, my question is are they stretching themselves to thin by forcing themsevles to supports every platform?

DS - Gets very good support from Nintendo with high quality 1st party titles

DSi - No announced DSi only carts from Nintendo but Id assume its a given their working on some. (Is Wario Ware D.I.Y. one?)

DSi Ware - Gets good support from Nintendo, with the Art Style and Express series.

Wii - Very good support, Nintendo's 'main' development platform.

Virtual Console - While their only porting older games, their IS a team people working out the kinks.

Wii Ware - Ok support from Nintendo with a slew of new Pokemon games and Excitbike.

so what do you think?

So what's an example of them maybe being stretched too thin?

Their lineup for any single one of their platforms. It's miiiiighty thin for pretty much everything but the DS.

I should also add all the apps they develop as well as firmware and hardware revision (DS)

actually there is a DSi-only game in development. It's called Foto Fighter. It's being made by Konami

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I think Nintendo should expand. They have so many franchises while still coming up with new IP's and considering games will probably take more time to develop next gen it's needed imo.
