Forums - Sony Discussion - ROFL... "RealPlay Games" (Wii games for PS2) + screenshots!

Ok, ok... I know there have been 2, 3... maybe 4 threads on this already.

But we now have screenshots! Of the peripherals... AND of the games! And each one for only 30 pounds ($50US).

I was laughing so hard, I just had to share with everyone...

(note - I don't think I can get the screenshots to link directly, as MagicBox uses some session system. If someone else finds shots/links, please post them...)

...

Apart from the PS2 gfx looking complete $#@house... a couple of the peripherals made me laugh proper:

- golf: yeah, maybe...
- puzzlesphere: WTF? that's got to be one the lamest things I have ever seen. Someone is going to "play" with that thing?
- tennis: ...is that actually meant to be a tennis racquet? Its a little... small :) Game looks "awesome" as well ;)
- bowling: >> ROFL << ....
- racing: racing wheel might work... if the game didn't look so crap! I can't see many people dropping GT4 to play this
- pool/snooker: LOL... can't wait to see this one works! Does it detect room movement? can you swing it around?

...

What so people think? Could this possibly be a cash-in?

Is the Wii in trouble? Will Wii Sports be wiiped out?

(EDIT - this is not intended to be an attack on the PS2 or PS3 - in any way, shape or form - just these games... :>)

Puzzlesphere actually looked the best to me out of all these games. I've always been a fan of Monkey Ball, so maybe that's why.

Racing looks like they need to wipe the vaseline off the edges of the screen. I especially like the blowtorches they've attached to the exhaust in the second pic (sarcasm).

Bowling, tennis, and pool look like PS1 games. You know, this is kind of satisfying, because now we have current sports games that look undeniably worse than Wii Sports. So remember everyone, if you want motion control AND graphics, the only place to get both is on the Nintendo Wii. :D

The greatest form of flattery is imitation.

Eh, I thought the Wiimote looked pretty stupid when i first saw it too. Of course I have no want or need to get this, since i have a wii... and you know perfer the motion sensing in more traditional games. Though I could use a good Wii Pool game. Hopefully that'll be a download game eventually. The Wii Play version is ok... but i'm more an 8 ball man then 9 ball.

And people say the Wiimote destroys TV's...

Just thought of something...

If they can get 1% of the Wii Sports market - that is about 100,000 units! And there may well be that many people out there with PS2's who can't get/afford a Wii.

So although the real entertainment value is a lot lower (get less with each game), this may actually do well enough to be a commercial success. Pretty scary really... :P

Actually, when thinking that it's IN2Games, that is releasing the peripherals (didn't know it before this topic), it's not a cash-in, in the way that they really have put money and effort in their controllers for years and they are really advanced (idea is more like in augmented reality, with full 3D positioning, if this is their newest controller). But the idea of releasing the "Realplay" games now, that is.

I don't see this being a threat to Wii, we are talking about (3rd party) peripherals on a soon to be dead system.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Not sure I get this one, is there a universal remote with adaptors (similar to the gun case for the Wiimote) for each of the games or remotes specific to each title?

ah the greatest form of flattery...

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!

These 6 games total: $300. Wii with Wii Sports: $250

Yeah, Wii is sooo doomed.

PS: The girls on those pics aren't really cute. The ones at Wii's ads are prettier.
