Great sales for Switch 2

Price increase is happening in Japan first on May 25, so this is people rushing out to buy one beforehand. The rest of the world won't get an increase until September 1. 

That is a BIG pre-pricehike boost. Especially with next week still at lower price too.

With such a large sales boost of people rushing to get it now I wonder how big that drop is going to be when the higher price kicks in.

If Nintendo has stock for it, seems May will be like a mini extra December for Switch 2 in Japan due to a lot of people wanting to avoid the price hike.

Weekly sales will crater after this period of course, but in the short term it won't matter that much given that this month will be so massive in Japan that it basically equals 2-3 ordinary sales months there, and then Splatoon Raiders will likely lead to some hardware sales boost in July as well.

Also a milestone has been reached for Switch 2 in Japan, it has now overtaken N64 LTD sales:

N64: 5,54M.

Switch 2: 5,58M.

Wow, wouldn’t have thought they’d have stock to hit 200k especially after selling so much the last few weeks. Milli for both Pokopia and Tomodachi nice
