Professor Layton is a detective/puzzle game series that began on Nintendo DS, and had several titles spread across DS, 3DS and Switch.

New World of Steam is the 7th mainline game, announced a couple of years ago during a Nintendo Direct. Today, a new trailer got released, and the game is coming to Switch, Switch 2... Playstation 5 and PC!

Other than having a spin off for mobile, this is the series debut on platforms other than Nintendo's. It still got no definitive release date, but it's coming "Later this year".

I'm very happy to be able to play this game. I played the original trilogy and one of the prequel games on DS back in the days. It will be very good to see Professor Layton and Luke once again.

Hopefully this is followed up by them bringing the earlier games to more platforms since I would like to check the series out, particularly the Ace Attorney cross-over.
