As comparison, it took Xbox series 161 weeks to sell as many units as Switch 2 did in 30 weeks in Spain. So it seems evidence from the figures we now have from the UK and Spain seems to suggest that PS5 dominated European sales not because Switch 2 did particularly badly there, but because PS5 had a strong year in Europe.

Europe may be Playstation territory, but Nintendo still does decently enough in many countries there, it's not really a "PS in Japan" situation by any means.
