According to the same insider indicating switch 2 has passed Wii U we have another update stating switch 2 has sold 15 million and switch has passed 155 with basically all of December still left.

with those reported numbers you have to think 17 mil and 156 by the end of the holidays are pretty safe bets

if these numbers hold true Nintendo should blow by their revised sales numbers of 19m for the fiscal year ending Mar 31.

He says his source for this information is "Some individuals that have some sales data." How much stock you want to put into that is up to you.

For additional context he is also talking about shipped numbers, not sold-through. As he says "4.64+ million in the last 66 days". 15m is 4.64m more than the 10.36m shipped as of end of September that Nintendo announced.

No idea if he actually has good sources but sounds perfectly reasonable for Switch 2 to have shipped 4.64m for the first 2 months of the holiday quarter. Switch 1 shipped 7.23m in its first holiday quarter.
