Forums - Gaming Discussion - Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon Looks Amazing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUTPLucLU5I&t=249s

Mission length looks like it can become quite long, with the size of the map, retry checkpoints that allows you to pick a different core mid mission, and there are apparently refill stations (before boss for this particular case) as well. That will allow for a lot more variety as certain limitation like ammo count and health won't have as much of an impact.

Animation and movement looks smooth. Mult-sequence melee attacks. Proper hit reaction from enemies. All these things will help the game feel significantly more polished.

Garage looks nice and clean. 4 weapons, 4 body, 3 internal, 1 extension should be more than enough customization.

Around the Network

My name. Sig and Avatar show I am a Mecha fan. Daemon X Machina became one of my fave mech games ever and felt like a perfect blend of AC lite and ZOE2(former AC staff so makes sense). AC4A is my fave of the AC games I played (I've played AC2, AC4A, ACV, and the PSP games and own all those except AC2) ACVI looks like a nice in-between the PS2 game's weight and AC4's mobility and speed.  We even got a port of Metal Wolf Chaos on PS4 which made me happy. Still waiting for a port of Frame Gride (think Armored Core meets Virtual On)

I don't buy CE's anymore as a general rule but I made an exception for ACVI. That mech statue will sit next to my Daemon X Machina statue. Now why didn't No More Heroes III have a statue? Oh well at least DXM is in NMHIII. Anyway, ramblings aside my biggest worry is people new to AC who only know From Soft for Souls are expecting Souls. It's not that. I loved From Soft pre-Souls when they had the nickname that mech company. So for people new to the series watch videos on past games to get a better idea. You don't need to play the older ones (not that easy to play as none are ported to anything else) as every AC is pretty self-contained and the story doesn't matter really anyway.

Lastly, Personally, I hope to hell White Glint returns. One of my top 3 mech designs ever. Jehuty, Leynos, and White Glint.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

I think when they say souls they mean it will have challenge and evading bosses with timing. it looks amazing hopefully this can make mech games go big mainstream. Fromsoftware hasn't let me down and i expect this to be the best mech game ever.

Definitely liking the new footage. The lightweight build looks like a lot of fun and I'm curious how heavy builds will compare. Mech games have gotten too niche in recent years. Hopefully this game will inspire a resurgence of sorts.
