I saw this, one thing that stands out to me is the over emphasis on cartooney effects. Makes combat flow look unfluid even though its well animated.
I prefer this over Streets of Rage 4.
Yeesh. I feel bad for the devs. It's getting hammered in the like/dislike ratio. And at the risk of piling it on, it doesn't look that good based on that short clip.

I'm sorry, but part of me says that it shouldn't look more sluggish than the original game on NES ...not that I don't like the animation work done here, it just doesn't feel right as opposed to another Beat'em Up revival like Streets of Rage 4

It would but that would mean it wouldn't have that many people that know about it. More people that know about it means more people that could potentially hate/dislike it. Whether that dislike is deserved or not is another question entirely.
Really the only gripe I have is that the art style is off-putting, going for a more realistic look probably would've done it justice imo

Apparently Rash was added to killer instinct, didn't know. If they'd gone with that art style I think people would like it more.
Kinda looks like some old crappy flash game from 2004 or something. You know, when Newgrounds was still a thing.
I don't know, I don't want to judge too soon, I'll need to play it. But it really doesn't look too good.
Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.
