Astral Chain ofc! ;)

More seriously, the improved NSW released in Japan Week 35 and it had a massive launch.

I didn't realize the Lite came out in any market yet?

Not talking about the Lite. It's an updated version of the regular model.

Yeah, the improved battery life version. The Lite has serious potential to utterly bury everything else this holiday season. Lite + Poke'mon is a serious 1-2 combo. Add in Animal Crossing for the girls in March and I can see Switch sales just exploding. We need more chill games like Animal Crossing, DragonQuest Builders 2, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley. Gaming doesn't always have to be about destruction, or competition. Cooperation and creativity should be fuel for gaming ideas too. That's how you bring in the ladies, and the semi-casuals.

This fall is more than a 1-2 combo with Lite, Zelda, Dragon Quest, Witcher, Overwatch, Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Sonic, Pokemon then all the smaller support stuff like indies, previous gen ports and niche Japanese games then the wild card that is Ring Fit Adventure and probably some nice Black Friday/Christmas bundles.

Sales are going to be crazy for the rest of the year.

Yeah Lite + Poke'mon is their main combo attack. They have plenty of other lighter jabs to go along with it.

Iwata said: “What I find interesting is that the 3DS core users consist of 69% male and 31% female, but when I look at the numbers of people that bought Animal Crossing: New Leaf and the 3DS handheld together recently, I see 44% male and 56% female users. It's quite an astonishing figure.”

While a LOT more females play AC than typical games, there are still plenty of males that play it (including myself). And I don't know about others, but there is nothing "semi-casual" about the way I play Animal Crossing lol. It's a gloriously chill addiction!

Next weeks will be very hard on the PS4 numbers, it did around 300k per week last year, while this year, it's probably not going past 200k

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne might have something to say in that regard. It brought the PS4 from 11-12k to 33k on the week of its release.

It, along with Borderlands 3, will boost the PS4 sales this month for sure, but I doubt it will do so over a prolonged time and certainly not anywhere near last year's numbers.

Biggest gap of the year for Switch.

Phew, did quite a bit of adjusting. The PS4 has been adjusted up for this year AND last year.

Great work @PAOerfulone

So the end result is that it sold more but the gap stays the same?
