CoD WWII has more than 15 million people on the leaderboards on PS4 alone and that isn't counting people who only play the campaign and never started MP. Xbox One has about 8 million people on the leaderboards. On PC it's more or less dead, but should be another million or so. Granted, you have the occasional double accounts here and there, but that should even out with the people who only play single player. It isn't perfectly accurate, but it gives you an idea and based on that I assume that WWII has sold well over 20 million.

Let's pretend people don't buy used games, rent games etc. Everyone buy a cod. You get a cod, you get a cod...Every body gets a cod. 

Numbers of players or hours played LOL (xbox terms) are hardly indicative of actual unit sales.

RDR2 and Pokemon are the wild cards, the former I wonder if it can make the huge gain that GTAV did for GTAIV, and the latter I don't know if it's even releasing.

I don’t know about the other year but in 2016 Pokémon Sun and Moon were the best selling game of that year.

For some reason, most publications (npd etc) split the Pokémon versions like they are two separate games lowering its yearly ranking.

Maybe the reason is that they’re 2 separate games. Also, it didn’t make it in the Top 10 in 2016 in the US.
