Are you playing docked? I am playing it in portable mode and just played through the area you just spoke of and didn't run into any performance issues.

All docked so far. Switch games tend to run better in handheld mode so its possible its just not an issue on the go, its also possible its just a side affect of playing the game without the patch which I still haven't installed yet.

Games are fun.

The areas you'd expect there to be slowdown so far haven't had any. The police precinct which is full of people and objects doesn't stutter a beat that I've noticed. I'm going to install the patch and see if that makes a difference.

Cool. Let us know if the patch has made a difference in performance. Also, you may want to edit the OP to make it clear that you were referring to the game before installing the patch.

It may be the patch, I've been playing on docked for about an hour and the only time I see stutter/frame drops is through some cut scenes. Looks better than I expected on my tv (65"). But it sure looks and plays a bit smoother undocked.

I've noticed a bit more drops running through heavy trafficked areas but not really as bad as you described. It definitely plays better undocked.

If LA Noire flops everywhere, not just Switch, will T2 consider the Switch as a lost cause, or will they consider another try with a more popular game?

Eh, it's a 6 year old remaster, I hope they don't expect too much from it across all 3 platforms. One of the Switch's biggest, if not the biggest selling point, is its portability for such high fidelity games. I don't recall many people wanting to play LA Noire portably, but GTAV would be a different story. And according to some recent insider info from a youtuber, RGT 85, GTAV is running right now on Switch. I think they'll base further Switch support on that port if the rumor is true that is.

I remember GTA V running very well on my PS3... there's really little reason they couldn't bring it to the Switch. It does seem to have shown more longevity than any game I've ever seen outside of subscription based MMO's.

I replayed the area I mentioned with the patch installed and while docked and yes it runs better but there is still a noticeable frame rate drop.

Games are fun.

I finished the game on ps3 but sold it without ever bothering with the dlc I bought .

Sorry to hear the frame rate isn't good.

Firing it up for the first time this morning. Got it yesterday and wasn't able to start my download for physical version until I got home (10 hour whopper). Done this morning and FINALLY ready to play. I take playing 1st party titles right out of the box (or 5min download) for granted.

Docked only here, i can't reproduce the slow dows you are mentioning, download the patch, game is smooth and very beautiful graphically.
