Anyways here's what I had for Easter lunch after Church today ;)

 

I think it's a Catholic (or maybe all Christian) thing. We pick something to give up (abstain/sacrifice) for the 40 day period leading up to Easter. Usually I'll give up some kind of bad habit, though for the past four years I've given up pop/soda, since I drink way too much of it.

And that lunch looks delicious.

I live in a Catholic country, but I've never heard of this. We just eat a bit less and more simple (at least, we're supposed to. Nobody actually does it.)

But probably it is an actual Catholic tradition, and it just got lost here. Most people don't go to church either (even on Easter), unless they're like 70 years old.
