So First than all.. Nintendo took hiphoprobot's Switch back

 http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=230564943&postcount=1932

So hiphoprobot got the Switch from "someone" which doesn't surprise me at all ...

And.... apparently hiphoptherobot tried to sell the Switch on Reddit, lol

Lol .

That guy isn' too bright.

Don't mess with the Nintendo Ninja's

Yeah, can't say I feel bad or angry at nintendo. Poor move off of him. If someone gave me a stolen switch, I'd contact nintendo and explain the situation to get a different one in exchange. Either that or just keep it hidden until the third :p

Did he knew it was stolen when he bought it?

the funny part is when a gaf user"SPY" decided to make a new thread to addressing this "Evil Nintendo" doing something ridiculous even-though already been told to not make a fuss about it.

and then he freaks out because the event unfold not according to his intention and immediately want mod to close it.

the best part from that thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1345365
"I know he doesn't want Nintendo to get bad press but this should be known." to this

"I'm requesting this thread to be closed now as it's slowly becoming a witch hunt of a GAF member."

lmao the irony is strong in this one
.

Wait...is he going to get it back? I mean, he did buy it, stolen or not. I don't know how this would work.

It's stolen property so it doesn't really work out that way. If someone stole my car and sold it to someone else then it's not like they could just keep it whether they spent money or not, theres just a lot legal complications. The Switch console may not even of belonged to Nintendo as it most likely was the property of a retailer who bought it from Nintendo leading to a lot more legal issues. Also we don't even know how legitmate this person is, the whole thing seems kinda sketchy if you ask me.

Depends on who his money went to.
For example, if Gamestop paid to get that unit, but a thief stole it before it reached gamestop, and sold it to this guy, then no, he probably won't get it back.

Ah, I see. So I guess at best, it'd be up to the feds to get his funds back or maybe he's just out of whatever he paid.

So he can't get the Switch or his money back, damn. That sucks. But I agree, this entire thing did seem too surreal to be so innocent.
