Despite we barely knowing much about it, in general, some people can't resist the urge on clicking in it. That's why I put it in the first place. Like moths to a flame.

Who on earth picked the SNES :) Come on!
The Wii for me.

Definitely the Wii. Take away the Galaxy games, Prime 3 and the initial fun of Wii Sports, and the Wii has very few worthwhile memories. Wii U gave me more to remember with its short life. MK8, Smash for Wii U, Splatoon, and Super Mario Maker can provide way more entertaining hours than the entirety of the Wii library.

Why would you consciously take away anything? What do you gain from that? Any console can be the worst if you voluntarily choose not to count the good memories you've had with it.

The proof they sold well is in the fact that companies kept making them. If you're not profiting from a platform, you don't keep greenlighting games on it. EA released 5 Need for Speed games on Gamecube, Capcom 3 Resident Evil games, Sega 5 Sonic series games. Same story on N64 with franchises like WWF, Tony Hawk, and Turok.

the volume of games still pale in comparison to what the comp was getting though. If they really sold that well those companies would have given them way more games.

It doesn't matter how much they sell on the competition. If your game makes say, $100 million on PS2/Xbox and $20 million on Gamecube, $120 million is still more than $100 million.

And sorry, but the idea that EA would release 12 NFS games from Gamecube to Wii U, Activision 8 COD games, and Sega 14 Sonic games if they weren't profitable is absurd.

Yeah, the people who chose the Wii are really in denial. It had the most widespread and robust line-up of any Nintendo console in history. That's even before you get into the Virtual Console territory which provided large number of past generation games, many of which were extraordinarily difficult to get in their time, and often had to be imported for inflated prices.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this thread is about personal opinion. If it wasn't for the WiiU the Wii would be next on the chopping block for me too.
