the volume of games still pale in comparison to what the comp was getting though. If they really sold that well those companies would have given them way more games.

It doesn't matter how much they sell on the competition. If your game makes say, $100 million on PS2/Xbox and $20 million on Gamecube, $120 million is still more than $100 million.

And sorry, but the idea that EA would release 12 NFS games from Gamecube to Wii U, Activision 8 COD games, and Sega 14 Sonic games if they weren't profitable is absurd.
