n the teasiest of teases, Bioware has revealed Star Wars: The Old Republic will expand in the coming months, courtesy of its incoming Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion. Following on from the story-driven Knights of the Fallen Empire, the latest entry will apparently feature “more of BioWare’s trademark cinematic storytelling, as well as exciting new game features.”

I've only made it to level 32. Is it worth getting back into? How does it stand up in terms of story with other BioWare games now days? I had a complete blast with my Jedi, just getting to quests took forever and if you want to explore everything, get all the holocrons, and do everything on a whole world. That was a good day and then some of work.

You don't have to do every quest. Doing the class story should be enough to move things along.

It's ok storytelling. Bioware quality, but obviously constrained by the fact that your character has to be a badass that doesn't die. But especially on the latest expansion, things got interesting aswell.

If you liked KOTOR, you definitly need to play this at least until the Revan expansion.

Indeed as a KOTOR fan its well worth it and is a great story driven mmo also.

I'm surprised EA hasn't ported the game to consoles yet. Several friends of mine played it and all were under the impression it would translate well.

It would translate very well to consoles imo. I really dont know why it was never ported.

And i recently started playing KOTOR 2 again.

I hope they bring back that class quest only promotion from last year that allowed you to level from 1-50 on class quests alone. I only finished 2/8 class stories when the game first released, and I'd like to experience the other 6 without having to do all of the sidequests 6 times and grind on mobs. I missed the promotion last year, couldn't upgrade my PC until after it had ended.

Control scheme I'm guessing. You basically need 20 slots for all of the abiltiies you get as you level up from what I remember. Hard to do a do a 20 slot ability bar on console, even if you used the 4 face buttons plus the bumpers as modifiers you still only have the equivalent of 12 slots. The MMO's that have been coming to/announced for PS4 and XB1 recently, like Elder Scrolls Online, TERA, Star Trek Online, and Neverwinter, have much smaller ability bars than SWTOR.
