In Activision's blog Communications Manager Scott Lowe wrote

"Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Crash Bandicoot series, this October, the beloved character returns with a special guest-starring role in Skylanders Imaginators, followed by a collection of remastered classic Crash Bandicoot games in 2017."

Vicarious Visions has also been confirmed to be the developer behind the remaster. How hyped are you people? I can answer that, not hyped enough!

Now then place your bets on whether or not it will be delayed!

I think it's almost certain there'll be a physical release.

I'll bet we do. PS4 could use another good kid friendly game on store shelves.

Curious how much of a remake this collection will end up being.

I'm hoping for the best. They have to bring their hearts developing this remake.

Barkley. I absolutely love your profile pic :D

Vicarious who?

(I looked it up, sounds like team nobody. Really long history though.)

I think it'll be in a similair vein to Ratchet & Clank, while levels will share design elements and the story will probably be near identical I think there will be quite a few deviations from the original as well. For example they may want to introduce Relics from Crash 3 into the previous entries, and I'm sure not every level will be an exact replica with shinier graphics.

There's definitely going to be changes other than appearance and the main thing is that the feel and gameplay remains intact.

Recently they were responsible for Skylanders Swap Force and Skylanders Superchargers. They also made the GBA Crash games back in the day, which were awesome by the way, was basically Crash 3 on a Gameboy, The Huge Adventure/XL was the one I played and it was fantastic.

They also made Crash Nitro Kart.... let's forget about that one though.

I really hope it's a remake even if they are calling it remasters.
What's the point on remastering 5th gen games?

It's definitely a remake, they said "from the ground up" basically meaning no original assets or code will be used. They called Ratchet & Clank a remaster also.

Oh cool! One of my friends from high school works there. They did some good work with Skylanders, so I'm hopeful.
