Yeah, Quake was supposedly all about SP back in 1996 after release, then somehow they actually loved the MP mode instantly.

CoughTeamfortressmodCough.

It looks like a hero shooter... Da Faq???

Is it going after the Overwatch crowd cause this does not look like what Quake online game should be...

The PC exclusive was pretty surprising though. Along with Fallout 4 VR being Vive exclusive

My interest for the new Quake is more dead than your social life, Bethesda's audience (minus the screaming woman on drugs) and this thread combined!

Oh... and the guy with Turkey leg...

People complaining about the lack of SP in a Quake game?

Gamers these days...

One of the greatest, MP games of all times. Great to see it back again. A bit worried about the class choices though..

I only ever played the SP for quake. Or are you talking about Quake 3 Arena?

MP only... Not my cup of tea. Someone please give me Half-Life 3 instead!

It's playing homage more to Quake 3: Arena, which was a multiplayer game that all other multiplayer games once aspired to be like. (The other being Unreal Tournament. - Also going to be a PC Exclusive!)

But what it has also done is brought the gameplay up a generation or two, with abilities, something that the likes of Halo and Crysis already showcased last generation.

If they pull it off right, it could be the game that puts Quake back on the map... And considering that Quake's Audence has mostly always been PC gamers primarily, it's really not that surprising that it's exclusive.

I'm not even suprised myself since I've known this for years, I don't know why anyone else would expect differently. This is the sort of arena shooter that doesn't need to be watered down or pandered towards the gamepad and arena shooters for the most part are based on and more popular on PC. I do hope this means Quake returns to form and we actually see a few more Arena shooters popping up because that would be refreshing to see.
