Halo 2 63 60.00%

Now that the "Best Halo on 360" poll seems to have run its course, what about the best Halo on the original Xbox?

Which one gets your vote, and why?

Halo CE was a corridor shooter. Same fucking areas over and over again. It got to the point where you felt lost as everything blended together.

Played Halo 2 on from the Xbox original disc on 360, so it kinda looked meh. Very dark. haven't played MCC despite having it since Christmas.

Halo 2 easily.

The original was pretty bad really. So so so repetitive. It was the same levels and the same corridors over and over again. Besides, 2 let you play as the Arbiter.

Twitter boy, aka Reece aka Ryuu96 aka Halo fanboy aka drama boy; agreed with this post.

And I quote, "Kapi summed it up in the first reply."

Halo 2. I first played it on Xbox 360 actually so I had played way newer and more shiny fps. Yet it was just a great experience.

Halo: CE for me. Still my pick for the best FPS ever. Great music and sound design; engrossing story; expert level design; spectacular set pieces; and, most importantly, amazing improvisational gunplay.

Halo 2 is also great. Improved multiplayer, two protagonists, and an expanded universe. Both games are among the best shooters ever made.

Whoa, didn't expect the poll to be this one-sided.

Halo 2 gets my vote too. Playing as the Arbitar added variety to the gameplay, and level design was less repetitive.

The first game still deserves serious props for being so groundbreaking though, and for AI that still holds up 15 years later.

Halo 1 isnt as bad as some people are saying, but some levels are objectively boring.

Halo 2 is the clear winner.

Hard question because they're both my favourite Halo's. If I really have to stick with one, I'd choose Halo 2. A massive improvement over everything its predecessor did, and it would be flawless if it wasn't for its terrible, terrible cliffhanger ending.

Halo: CE remains one of the greatest first-person-shooters of all time.

Halo 2 paved the way for Call of Duty's widespread success.

Not exactly a tough decision.
