Forums - Gaming Discussion - Any Company of heroes fans on here?

Hey guys,

I was just wondering of they were? Ive never seen it mentioned on this site, but it's a game I play online as often as I can, and after 6yrs I'm still not bored. I bought the sequel but was dissapointed. Anyone still playing this game one here?

Never heard of it.

I'm doubting if getting it for just 1$, or together with the sequel for 12$.

2 more days to decide, but going by what you say the 1$ route seems to be the best.

well the original is by far the better game. but i only play both online and never campaign, i guess youtube them both but i would recoomed playing the original 1st and learning that games mechanics

I love it.
Sunk a few hundred hours into the original, sorta lost interest once StarCraft 2 burst onto the scene though which placated my RTS thirst somewhat.

The second game I pre-ordered on release, maybe played a couple hours tops... Never touched it again.
Does the DLC dramatically make it better? My biggest annoyance with it was the lack of defensive structures which limited your "strategy". - It then ended up as just a unit rush.

It's definately better now with British and USA but there's something wrong with it that's for sure. I loved original starcraft but never played Starcraft 2. Is SC2 kinda tactical like COH or is it just base rush like Warcraft 3? I'm talking more online PVP here

Never played the campaign? That's what I enjoyed the most of RTS, never really played them multiplayer.
And the second one from the humble bundle comes with the Ardennes expansion.

Might just take your advice and go with the first one. It's cheap, and for sure works on both my laptop and desktop.

OK slight white lie I've completed the original campaign and it's great but trust me PVP online where it's at. 1st one the better game if you get tales of valour (all factions)

StarCraft 2 played it very safe, it stayed true to the original.

Absolutely love Company of Heroes 1. Still play it with my friends regularly. I also was not a fan of number 2. My Steam name is My Little Pwny. Add me

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!
