So the Tusk Trailer has been out for more than a week now.

Thoughts on his new design?

I am a huge fan of the old Conan Barbarian Tusk, I can’t say I am a huge fan of the new Viking Warrior Tusk. I really like the voice actor for him, sounds a lot like Thor and his gameplay seems to be very bruiser type class, dishing out plenty of damage. Iv seems 52% - 62% damage combos. They have also done a great job on his stage, very unique and different.

The beauty is if you’re not interested in his new design, his Retro costume will be available not long after release I believe. Hopefully they do an amazing job on his Retro look.

I am very pleased with Kim Wu, Rash and Arbiter’s design choices, I am a little underwhelmed with Tusk’s new design, and I am just not into Vikings but nothing against the choice as they need something different to a Conan barbarian look. Like all characters, they need to be modernised.

Looking forward to seeing more for Season 3.

Well, saying that the graphics are underwhelming is an understatement.

These type of visuals on a AAA game in 2016 shouldnt be celebrated.

Theres nothing wrong with the graphics, its one of the better looking fighting games on the market, probably 2nd best looking under MKX in my opinion. especially on PC. Its the design choice not the visuals i dislike with Tusk, that all could change with his Retro look ;)

I'll just post my opinion.  Keep in mind, I do like Microsoft but I don't think I'm a fanboy.  I bought KI Season 1 and 2 but I've barely played them.  I also bought Street Fighter V (which I much prefer).

Anyway, I watched a Youtube video comparing the two because....that's what Youtube does.  They love Sony vs M$ comparisons.  I decided to see for myself.  I haven't played any other fighting games this gen and SFIV held the title, in my personal opinion, as the best looking 7th gen game for years after it launched!  I just watched the Tusk video and graphically, it doesn't look that great.  BUT, when I bought SFV, one of the first things I did was fire up both Killer Instinct and SFV (which looks fantastic) and compared them.  The two art styles are like apples and oranges but both games look fantastic! 

Maybe Tusk (and to be honest, Kim Wu as well) will look as good as the rest of the game.  Keep in mind there's supposed to be a graphical upgrade when Season 3 arrives.  Also, you can change parts of the characters as you see fit.  If you don't like a face, you can put on a helmet or whatever.

Maybe Tekken or Mortal Kombat blow both SFV and KI away.  I honestly don't know.  I think they both look great and KI continues to improve graphically with every season since it's always being worked on.

Oh, for what it's worth, I give the edge to SFV.
