I gotta garee you in most part.A recent example is Star Fox Zero.Started underwhelming, but with the recent direct looks really good.Could have looked better?Maybe. But as it satnds now, its really good. But saying that those "cryings" are unneeded is false. Those same critisims probably made Star Fox Zero better, and some games do look like they will not deliver, like Federation Force(May be a good game in the end, but that art style and reveal.... its sincerely a game that would have benefited to have released on Wii U.It really has a good idea, and could have had a better art style, since it would not have been limited by the hardware(as much as the 3ds))

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Negative feedback is 100x more valuable. It helps make games better

Absolutely false.

When a fanbase is constantly complaining about absolutely everything then it becomes pure noise, a constant loud noise that never changes, and when there are REAL reasons to complain, the noise just stay the same as always so the company barely senses any difference and they cannot trust the noise because is always there no matter if they are doing it right or wrong, making the feedback almost useless.

Whiny fanbases are more hurtful than they seem.

Not completely false at all. Negative feedback can and will help a game become better specially if said game has yet to be released. Star fox is said to be siginificantly improved because of the negative feedback it got when first shown. FFXIV became one of the best FF games because of the major criticisms and negative feedback version 1 got, FFXV has also shown major improvements in its latest footage because of the criticisms the demo got. Major franchises improve with each sequel because of the feedback from the previous game(Well not all of them).

Constant negative feedback for every personal minor annoyance with every fucking game is hurtful, you cannot listen to a fanbase like that, to complain about things that really needs complains is good, but some people thinks if they shit about everything they are doing some kind of good to someone, they are NOT, they are noise, when real complains come is harder to make a difference between legit complains and childish tantrums.

Yes but negative feedback in general isn't always hurtful. Not all negative feedback are attempts to destroy and to purely hate.

Of course, I was talking about extremes, negative feedback is as necesary as the positive.

Why are we gamers so pathetic whiners? We should just quit gaming then!

Look here is the thing: I grew up with NES, Gameboy and SNES, then all the way up to current generation. The games you played as a kid will always remain in your heart and even though you appreciate innovations you always want those old concepts back in a new face because they bring a warm feeling with it for you.

But younger generations grew up with different games and for them those are the games they have at heart. Someone grewing up with SM 64 wants to have another "open world" 3d Mario game but another one grewing up with SM3DW probably wants another "3d Mario with 2d gameplay"-Mario game.

Same with Paper Mario, those who started with the series back on N64 or GCN want a new entry into the series which resembles those classics but someone who started with the series later on probably wants a different game. How good Color Splash will be, we don't know yet. For me it does look like it's a bit rushed to have it out in holidays season 2016 because again they lack Wii U software quantity this year.

We should also not forget that from time to time Nintendo purposefully doesn't give the games the fans want and expect but to give them something they didn't know they want! I personally love this approach.
