Why are we gamers so pathetic whiners? We should just quit gaming then!

Look here is the thing: I grew up with NES, Gameboy and SNES, then all the way up to current generation. The games you played as a kid will always remain in your heart and even though you appreciate innovations you always want those old concepts back in a new face because they bring a warm feeling with it for you.

But younger generations grew up with different games and for them those are the games they have at heart. Someone grewing up with SM 64 wants to have another "open world" 3d Mario game but another one grewing up with SM3DW probably wants another "3d Mario with 2d gameplay"-Mario game.

Same with Paper Mario, those who started with the series back on N64 or GCN want a new entry into the series which resembles those classics but someone who started with the series later on probably wants a different game. How good Color Splash will be, we don't know yet. For me it does look like it's a bit rushed to have it out in holidays season 2016 because again they lack Wii U software quantity this year.

We should also not forget that from time to time Nintendo purposefully doesn't give the games the fans want and expect but to give them something they didn't know they want! I personally love this approach.
