Absolutely false.

When a fanbase is constantly complaining about absolutely everything then it becomes pure noise, a constant loud noise that never changes, and when there are REAL reasons to complain, the noise just stay the same as always so the company barely senses any difference and they cannot trust the noise because is always there no matter if they are doing it right or wrong, making the feedback almost useless.

Whiny fanbases are more hurtful than they seem.

Not completely false at all. Negative feedback can and will help a game become better specially if said game has yet to be released. Star fox is said to be siginificantly improved because of the negative feedback it got when first shown. FFXIV became one of the best FF games because of the major criticisms and negative feedback version 1 got, FFXV has also shown major improvements in its latest footage because of the criticisms the demo got. Major franchises improve with each sequel because of the feedback from the previous game(Well not all of them).

Constant negative feedback for every personal minor annoyance with every fucking game is hurtful, you cannot listen to a fanbase like that, to complain about things that really needs complains is good, but some people thinks if they shit about everything they are doing some kind of good to someone, they are NOT, they are noise, when real complains come is harder to make a difference between legit complains and childish tantrums.
