"Microsoft might remove region lock from digital Xbox 360 games soon
According to a conversation with an Xbox Support representative, a user by the name of Zom-B on Twitter got some rather interesting information. According to the representative, Microsoft plans to remove the region-lock requirement for Xbox 360 games so they can be bought freely using local currency. This will eliminate the need to always use your Xbox 360 or have your Xbox 360. I've been wanting to make the complete switch to Xbox One but have to keep on going back to maybe buy some Xbox 360 games with my local wallet balance. It's great that Microsoft is addressing this concern. We've reached out to Microsoft for comment and shall update you accordingly.
Might not have to wait much longer to buy #Xbox360 games on #XboxOne for #BackwardsCompatibility. @XboxMAD pic.twitter.com/OXeZ33W8wl

Until we get an update, please take this information with a grain of salt. As with any rumor that isn't verified by us, there's always the chance that it might be fake or the conversation might be an elaborate photoshopped image. Hopefully we'll get a response soon and will know accordingly.

Opinions? Would be awesome if true. I've always wanted to play certain JP/US-only games, which I couldn't before thanks to, well, that pesky region-lock thingy.
