yeah, so I wouldn't recommend 2 unless you aren't very good with horror games. I'd consider it entry lvl for the series.

Yeah, it's often regarded as the best, but after I played them all, I don't agree with that myself. I think it's the worst one actually.

Horror are are indeed a hit or a miss. Especially Japanese ones.

I also get irritated when the review scores are not consistent. Ill take a 7/10 for this game though.

It cost nothing to try it out yourself. If issues presented by some respectable reviewers are in line or not in line with your experience then trust them then.

The Destructoid reviewer even says the same thing.

Shrug. it's not like you can't enjoy a game because it doesn't get 80 plus. I enjoyed devils third despite it being horribly flawed and that only got 40 odd.
