Do you think Nintendo is going to bring back Nintendo Selects, the marketing label to promote games on Nintendo consoles. I believe they haven't used it since 2012. I think they should cause it will give them an excuse to re-print some games that are sold out like Pikmin 3 and to also sell them at lower prices. Also they could use to highlight games more niche games like Wonderful 101.

Do you think they should bring it back?

I think they might bring that back this year or early next year. It's a good way to drive up sales of old games.

They could, I doubt it will have any affect on sales though. People can see on the internet what is popular for the Wii U.

Yeah but awareness isn't the only reason for it.

I think they should bring it back, but I don't think they will do it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

It'd be a good idea. Several big titles from earlier in the WiiU's lifespan are sadly extinct at retail -- even NSMBU is getting a little tricky to find at retail.

People know what's popular, but if they can't find in a store at an affordable price - they'll skip it.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Don't think so. Nintendo's just gonna ride out the rest of the gen trying to make as much money back from software as they can imo.

i think the likes of Pikmin 3, Lego Undercover, and other early games which is out of print would help. knowing how retailers or scalpers try to milk gamers to a high price due to the game is out of print. it is a way for Nintendo to get those profits. :)

But wouldn't you say that it is mostly used as a promotional tool for kids in a store that are told they could buy a game. You see the Nintendo Selects / Players Choice and it's supposed to signify that it is the game you should pick up. What other purposes do the stickers have?

Well the program serves to bring back old games (some that have gone out of print) at reduced prices in order to increase interest and sales of said games.

For example, this would be a great thing to do with Pikmin 3 since it isn't really being stocked anymore and prices are ridiculously high online. Releasing it as a Nintendo Select at like $20-30 would no doubt increase the sales of the game and be more tempting to buyers as a whole (even the re-releases of Pikmin 1 and 2 on the Wii did well).
