Welcome back, diligent surfers of Vgchartz! Today we have gathered to celebrate the worst of the worst. After having been nominated in the Nominations thread and battling fiercly in the voting game, the fight of THE turds has finally come to an end, and the winner is clear.

Games like Halo: MCC and Destiny had to withdraw relatively early withinthe game (fortunately) while others lasted quite a bit longer. Now before we get to the real turd, lets have a look at some dishonourable mentions:

On the 3rd place we have - The Letter (Wii U) with a Metascore of 14! It was only saved by not being sold at full retail price probably.

On the 2nd place - Rambo: The Video Game (PC/PS3/360) with a Metascore ranging from 23 to 34! Well, at least nobody had their hopes up for this one, right? Right?

And now, the best for last. Le grande finale! (I hope that's correct)

The winner of the 2014 Toty award is...

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (Wii U) - With a Metascore of 32! (it should be noted that no other game in the voting game came even remotely close to beating Sonic Boom)

Without a doubt though, Sonic Boom did its part to win this glorious award with ease, uninspired gameplay, a not so brilliant story and lame jokes made you earn the hate of most Vgchartz users. So here's to you, Sonic Boom, as you represent the shittiest of the shittiest, you are our true TURD and a new benchmark for all-time lows! Collect your trophy of the TOTY 2014 awards.

After this little speech we're already at the end of this year's TOTY awards. At this point I want to thank Teeqoz, Co-creator of TOTY and Zekkyou, for enhancing our logo.
